We're Back

Late yesterday I finally got my home computer back! By seven o'clock the old girl was hooked up and ready to run. Once again I am able to read blogs and write comments in comfort. Bliss! I have been without "Hattie".....stop laughing, I know there are a lot of you out there who have named your computers! I digress, as I was saying poor Hattie became very ill and had to go to the doctor for a cure.

After two and a half weeks Hattie has returned home, feeling like an almost new computer. During her absence I was reduced to using the IPod and my work computer during break times, to read and comment on all your fabulous blogs. My Ipod, (no I am not going to tell you her name!) has sighed in relief as it will no longer be expected to regularly check my email, facebook and on occasion log into Twitter at the breakfast table! These past weeks have been trying and difficult for all three of us!

I did a post a few weeks ago about my Glorious Fridays' missing two in a row due to work commitments. When I wrote that post little did I know another two Fridays were going to go by the wayside.

My Fridays' were not a total loss, I did take pen to paper. My writing class assignments had to completed and let me tell you that was one H E hockey sticks of a challenge. Hattie is home and very relieved no new shiny upstart took her cosy corner on my desk.

Just wanted to let you know even though my comments have been sporadic I have been reading your blogs.
Yes fellow bloggers and readers Hattie and I are back!

I had no idea that IPOD's did all that stuff. I had a 2nd generation nano for the last three years and it didn't even have a radio. We've come a long way baby.

Awwwwww Now I'm dying to know Ipod's name!!! Go on, tell, tell, tell!

LOL!

Yay!! Hattie the happy pooter is back!! What a lovely reunion - I hope she's not gonna be sick again and will now take her medication, rest and take things easy! I hope she's feeling ten years younger too - she's certainly looking GOOD!

Big cheer for Hattie! And Ms Ipod.

I hope you get your Fridays back and well done you for completing your assignment that sounded painful but you did it! So triple yay!

Welcome back!

x

So glad! I was beginning to wonder! That cartoon of the sick computer looks like me, with my horrible toothache, infected jaw and no dentist in til Monday. Aaargh.

That's so cute you name your computer, and your ipod lol! I can't imagine what I'd name my laptop, but I had a pink cellphone I called Pinkie.

That was such an emotional post, I was wiping tears from my eyes with the thought of you and Hattie being reunited.
Dont worry Ann, I always give whatever car I have a name, sometimes not so nice ones when they don't start.
Anyway, wishing you and Hattie (sob) hours of happy blogging and writing together.

I'm so glad you have your computer back. When I'm without mine, I feel like I'm missing a limb. Maybe even worse. I hope you get some productive writing time in soon! Welcome back.

nope - no name for my computer. My car is named Betty though. Perhaps I should name my computer - that may be the problem. I'll call her Fussy Pants. Yep, that's her name.

Oh I couldn't bear to be without my computer. I've recently bought a laptop because I got sick of having to share the computer with my 5yr old son!! haha Haven't thought of a name for it yet :o)

Oh these computers, we've grown so fond of them! Hattie sounds like a veritable member of the family ;)

Clicked over from Karen's, enjoyed browsing!

Hi Ann

Me again - *waving to Hattie and Ms Ipod.*

Just wanted to say thank you for your kind words about my cat - they give me comfort and strength.

Take care

Now I feel I should be addressing my comments to both Ann and Hattie. Glad you are both back together again. Stay well now Hattie!!

Good morning all. So many nice comments, Hattie is feeling very loved.

Plain Jane, I didn't know Iris the IPod could do all the things she does either. My eldest son gave me a tutorial. Otherwise, it was just music!

Old Kitty, hope you are feeling better! Oh yes IPod is known as Iris.

KarenG, I hope you have gotten that tooth taken care of by now. Nothing worse than a tooth pain.

Karen, yes we are both back. Happy days!

Hi Brigid, it was a heart rendering story wasn't it. I had to reach for multiple tissues myself as I typed. Remembering the pain of our separation.

Hi Susannah, Hattie is delighted to be back in her cozy little corner. :)

Hi Theresa, I thought once I got Hattie back, there would be no stopping me. WRONG. Oh well, maybe tomorrow!

Hi Totalfeckineejit, thanks for stopping by. I have muttered that and many other less polite names under my breath many a time!

Hi Niki, thank you for stopping. I had a laptop but gave it to my daughter. She needed a laptop for university. Hattie originally belonged to her and we did a swap.

Hi Joanne, thank you for stopping by. Well she isn't quite a member of the family, but I am lost without her.

Hi Old Kitty, Hattie and Iris appreciate your waves. Take care.

Hi Barbara, I am sure Hattie wouldn't know what to do with herself if someone beside me started talking to her. She might run and hide in fears of abuse from another corner. Poor Hattie she has a lot to put up with.

I don't know what I would do without a computer for two and half weeks! You are a brave woman, Ann!

Hey, me again. I couldn't find your email but I wanted to respond to the comment you left on my post this morning. I'm glad you popped over from Theresa's site. I love connecting with other writers on the web and as a half English girl (really half Irish technically but they all live in England now) I love meeting other fair-skinned comrades!

Hello there - thanks for dropping by over the weekend :)

My laptop isn't named anything but I did start to think of my dictaphone as Bessie when I was taking it out all over the place last year...!
