On A Lighter Note - An Award

An award from the lovely Old Kitty over at Ten lives and second chances.

Check out this generous blogger's blog, you won't be sorry.

Thank you so much Old Kitty... says she as she gracefully curtseys, you are so wonderfully kind and generous! And yes I was very, very graceful. SEE!

I must reveal seven true things about myself and then pass it on. Isn't this a pretty award? Love the flowers.

Can I think of seven true things about myself? Ahemmm, better at the untruths!!!

1. I carry a calendar/date book. Only thing is I rarely write any appointments in it, and never refer to it.

2. I am a very slow reader. Often going back re-reading lines, paragraphs or pages that I really enjoyed.

3. Memorizing is a skill I never developed.

4. I love old black and white classic movies and period dramas

5. Dark chocolate is something I cannot resist.

6. I love red wine. Unfortunately it is not over fond of me.

7. I love to dance.

Passing this award on to the just a few of the wonderful blogs who have graced me with their followship.
(if that's not a word it just became one!)  :)

1. Jackee at Winded Words
2. Theresa at Substitute Teacher’s Saga
3. Brigid at Sort of Writing
4. Nedine at Nedine Says
5. Niamh at Irish Wanderings
6. Barbara at From My Kitchen Table
7. Talli at Talli Roland

Hi Ann, Thank you for the award, probably the only thing I will win (cue violin music and sobbing) this year.
Love your seven things, I love to dance too, except when being filmed at weddings.
Must put on my thinking cap (where did that expression come from) and do mine,
Thanks again.

Awwww lovely Ann!!!!

I curtsey back (but unlike you I'll be less elegant and be more likely to trip over me shoes and fall over!!). :-)

Wine, dark chocolate, dancing, old b&w films, period dramas... awww you are a romantic poet at heart!!

p.s I love the stripey socks!!! :-)

Take care
x

Congrats on the award! And you passed it on to me?! Thank you so much!

And I never met a piece of dark chocolate I didn't like either... hee, hee....

I wouldn't say you are a slow reader. Sounds like you are a reader who likes to savor and luxuriate in the words. :)

Why do we carry these things and never use them - I carried a diary and address/appointment book for years and never wrote in it either!

I can imagine you dancing now - red wine in one hand, dark chocolate in the other! - what a wonderful image. :-)

Yay! Thank you, Ann! I was distracted for a good 30 seconds, which is really something. :)

Thanks for the award, Ann! I think I reveal seven truths about myself on each post, for better or worse.

I am fond of red wine as well. I'm sorry it's not too fond of you.

Congrats, Ann :-)

p/s: I love to dance too.

Congratulations! Your award is beautiful!!!

I'm a terrible memorizer and when I haven't read for days it takes a minute for me to get back into the rythym of things so I can't relate at the slow style!

Hi Brigid, Dodging the camera whilst dancing at wedding will be my new goal! I hear you about the winning thing. Just heard back today, I didn't win one of the competitions I entered. We can sob together!!!

Hi Kitty, I just love those socks too, until I read your post and then they put me in mind of the wicked witch of the west. But then.....

Hi Jackee, That chocolate has a lot to answer for.

Hi Rebecca, I just love that! I think that will be a new mantra; I am not a slow reader, I just, "savor and luxuriate in the words". Love it.

Hi Niki, We could start a new club. The bloggers league of dark chocolate and red wine. Or some such.

Hi Al, So good you had to say it twice!

Hi Susannah, Can you really imagine me dancing with dark chocolate in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other, or did you get a look at one of those wedding films of Brigid's!

Talli, I am delighted I succeeded in distracting you from the waiting. Even it was only for 30 seconds.

Hi Theresa, The fact that red wine is not over fond of me, hasn't been the deterrent should be. I must just be a glutton for punishment. LOL

Hi Agnes, Thanks for stopping by. Dancing is a wonderful release isn't it. Especially if no-one is filming you.

Hi Jen, Thank you! Memorizing is the pits!!!

I don't know what it is but something in red wine makes me argumentative... time I learned to stay off it! Unfortunately I'm too carnivorous to avoid it altogether :)

That's funny; I like the same kinds of things: red wine, dark chocolate... Are we related? Maybe I'm your much older sister. I would love to dance but can't move as fast as I used to.
