Nicole Ducleroir's ~ Bernard Pivot Blogfest

The other particapants taking part in Nicole's Blogfest can be found at One Significant Moment!
Thanks Nicole.

1. What is your favorite word?
I love the word Chivalry.  It conjures days of mists and dreams.

2. What is your least favorite word?
Torture.  My body aches in sympathy

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Classical music, a beautiful painting, a sunny spring day, a walk by the sea.

4. What turns you off?
Blaring televisions, constant interruptions and sometimes guilt about what I should be doing   instead.

5. What is your favorite curse word?
    Shite.......excuse my French!

6. What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of a child's laughter.  I also love the sound of the sea  waves breaking on the shore.      Very soothing to the soul.

7. What sound or noise do you hate?
The sound of crunching or nails running down nylon shower curtains.  The old type of nylon/vinyl curtains. When I was young I became very ill and an ambulance was called but the doctor felt I was too ill to move.  He ripped the shower curtain off the bath rail and wrapped me up in it and submerged me into a bath of freezing cold water and ice to bring down the deadly fever.

My children when they cried with pain.

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
When I was in secondary school I wanted to be an Archaeologist.  Make great and historic discoveries then write a memoir detailing all my wonderful and exciting discoveries and experiences.

9. What profession would you not like to do?   I would hate to be a nurse.  I have a phobic fear of needles.  It is a bit embarrassing really at my age but there you go!

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Welcome! Let me hold the Gate for you!

To my fellow Crusaders, I am just surfacing from a nasty bout of flu.  I plan to visit you all soon.

Hi, fellow crusader! I'm with you on number 8. I'd love to be an archaeologist. :D

Great answers - that's some story with your illness and the shower curtain!

Loved your answers! And we have the same one for profession we wouldn't like. I couldn't be a nurse. Don't have the stomach for it!

I realized the link on Mr. Linky list was broken for your blog. Looks like a typo in your url when you typed it in. I think I fixed it, but I'll add a note on the bottom of my post right now.

Thanks for playing along!

#8 Oh I still would love to be one. Love your words as well. Isn't this fun? :)

Love your answers! Hope all's going better your way...bathroom woes create havoc...plumber got the part for my sink...life goes on, till the next faucet/shower curtain!

I'm terrified of needles too. Beyond terrified.

We have some similar answers, including our love of the sea. :)

Great answers, Ann. I am with you on the sea. I think I could be a nurse if I didnt have to treat any of my own family.
Poor you and the shower curtain!!

Ann!!!! Take care of yourself and please get better!!!! Rest, rest, rest!!

Awwwww I love these answers - they are all so sweet and poignant - even the noise you hate most. How awful for you to be wrapped up and dunked in cold water!!! Oh dear!!!

Love your swear word!! LOL!! Take care

I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was young (decided against it since I can never figure out how to spell it). Yeah, I would hate the shower curtain thing too.

I've got the same for #8. Archeologists rule!

What great questions and I learned so much more about you, Ann! :o) I loved your answers.

I can understand the hate of vinyl curtains. Freaky!

Have a great day!

Hello fellow crusader. Liked all the things that inspire you.

Yes, forget the Annoying Orange, the sound of children in pain has got to be the most soul-crushing sound.

Great answers!

I think its so cool to see crusaders out in other blogfests. Makes the world seem a little cozier. I hear you about needles...bleh!

archaeologist seems very popular!

Shite? That isn't French! (LOL) BTW, I'm a crusader too-- I think group two.

Jemi Fraser said...

I can understand why you don't like the noise! Glad it all worked out okay!

Archealogist would be fun! :)

Hart Johnson said...

I think those kids laughing and waves are super common--I love those, too. And it's so interesting how many alternate-archeologists I've seen among writers! This seems cool to me, too. I think it's because it is fairly solitary, and putting together a story... just like writing. But VERY slowly.

Hi, Ann,

I love you #1 great fav word....

Love the ocean waves, too. I wish I was there now.

I'm not surprised you hate that noise, being dunked in freezing water! My kids crying is also a heart breaker.
